General Description / Special Programs

Carleton has an integrated program in Sociology and Anthropology. Senior majors are required to write a thesis. The department sponsors programs and courses jointly with Africana Studies, American Studies, the Archaeology Program, Cross-Cultural Studies, Environmental Studies, Latin American Studies, Asian Studies, and Gender, Women's & Sexuality Studies. Students have many study abroad opportunities.
