Biography

Jodie Budihas-Roginsky joined the Bloomsburg University Economics Department in February of 2019 and Anthropology Department in August of 2021. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Cedar Crest College in Political Science/ Pre-Law, Lehigh Valley, PA. She has previously worked as an Office Administrator, Bookkeeper, Purchasing Agent, and Human Resources Generalist engaging in aspects regarding employee payroll, workers compensation, unemployment compensation, medical benefits, and OSHA. In her spare time, she has been known to support her husband’s oral surgery profession.

Jodie dedicates her time to supporting breed standards for poodles. She is a member of the Lehigh Valley Poodle Association and certified dog therapy handler through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. She campaigned her first show dog in AKC events with the help of Professional Handler Paul and Crystal Clas. Accomplished titles in confirmation: Champion/ Grand Champion and AKC Therapy Title. “Pompey” was featured on Entertainment Tonight live coverage from Westminster Dog Show New York February 12, 2019.

She participates with Sir Wellington Valentino and GCH CH Glow Sir Pierre Frenchy Pompey in BU’s “stress less with pets’ program”. In addition, her dogs participate in “Pets Together”, a covid-19 support group for nursing homes cross the United States. As a team she and her dogs support nursing home patients at Manor Care in Allentown, PA. Her dogs support those residents who have dementia, those who have physical disabilities and those who are trachea patients paralyzed from the neck down.
