MIT offers a multi-disciplinary PhD in History, Anthropology, and Science, Technology and Society (HASTS) jointly administered by the three programs. The graduate program emphasizes ethnographic and historical research of laboratory and theoretical sciences; social and cultural study of computing and computation; the environment, climate, food and agriculture; technological innovation, policy, and management; fieldwork training and documentary filmmaking.
