The expertise of faculty permits students to specialize in one or more of the following topical concentrations: medical anthropology, archaeology, and human biological anthropology. Area studies concentrations are available in Latin American Studies the Arid Western US, Africa and Mediterranean Pleistocene. Internships and field experiences, including intl field experiences, are available. The Department of Anthropology maintains close ties with the PhD program in Health and Behavioral Sciences.
