General Description / Special Programs
Potomac River Archaeology Survey, Great Dismal Swamp Landscape Study, The Great Depression Undocumented Labor Project, and Cooperative Education placements in federal agencies and DC-area service-related organizations. Consortium member with George Washington University, Catholic University of America, Georgetown University, Howard University, University of the District of Columbia, the University of Maryland, Gallaudet University, George Mason University, Mount Vernon College, Trinity College, and Wesley Theological Seminary. Approved courses may be taken at these institutions.

<p>Graduate: A significant portion of full-time doctoral students are supported through Fellowships and outside grants. Fellowships offer full tuition plus a stipend of $22,000; work as teaching and research assistant is required. All awards are potentially renewable. The University has University Dissertation Fellowships and the Harvey C and Sarah M Moore Fellowship. Archaeological crew jobs, ethnographic research, and work-study positions are also available.</p>
