Marks collection of ethnological and archaeological materials, departmental PCs, data base management software, laboratory facilities and materials for biological anthropology and archaeology, extensive osteological and fossil hominin cast collection. The department houses digitized records produced during 27 years of archaeological research in southern Mesoamerica. These files are used in hands-on classroom exercises to teach archaeological method and theory and as basic data for independent student research some of which result in seniors honors theses. Funds are also available in the department to support student research and attendance at professional meetings.
