Dr. Mercedes Fabian is the Lab Director for the numerous hands-on classroom experiences of our Human Biology students. Her past research focused on post-burial time estimation and the accuracy of identification of human remains using ligament attachment sites when developing a biological profile in forensic cases.

She is currently focused on biological matter, such as using cadavers, instead of virtual dissection (computer-generated models) in anatomy labs, comparative anatomy between rabbits and humans, and the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation between Anthropology and other fields, specifically Biology and Criminal Justice.
